Wow what can I say about this large museum, but fantastic. They have so many artifacts that are well persevered and kept to their natural state as if they were brand new. Small fee (Five Canadian) with what they have should be chartered more (shhhhhh). Staff are super friendly and courteous and helpful.
A wonderful trip back in time.We have all seen these in the old movies, now here is a chance to see them in person and 'imagine'. Yes, imagine how they ever put out any large fires with these tiny pieces of apparatus. Thanks to the ingenuity of men and women over the years, things have evolved. Thanks to those who have preserved this piece of history for us.
Pretty great museum. Tons of old vehicles and artifacts. Only thing is you can't touch anything. I was hoping to be able to climb into one of the vehicles to see what they look like. Very cheap entry as well. It was $8 for two of us.
Unexpectedly good, some really nice history of firefighting here.
If I could have caught my sons reaction when we walked in, the moment he went "Fire" it would have been but a glimpse of the excitement he felt crossing the threshold.Filed to the brim with old, restored fire engines, equipment, brotherhood. It gives a glimpse into the history of Yarmouth itself through its turmoil, and loss. It's truely a think of beauty to behold
