The staff on the days (8/17 & 8/18) we were there were excellent, helpful, and friendly. I couldn't ask for a better welcome and more helpful individuals.This place was selected for its location to the ferry. The room was basically as expected. It is on the smaller size. The bathroom is very cramped. But there is everything you need including a desk, small fridge, and ironing board. The air conditioner is very loud but helps cut down on the street noise. The staff was helpful with wine glasses and bottle opener.
Reservation issues that could have been resolved peacefully were made impossible by the in charge of reservation, Angie. If you cannot care for your customers or even speak with them in a professional manner then you are in the wrong profession! The rest of the staff Laura and Brendan were very helpful. I am specifically giving names so the entire staff is not blamed. The manager needs to pay attention to who he/she hires as staff. We booked through a third party, the hotel said they did not receive confirmation, although we had confirmation. So we had to book the last room available (Laura was helpful enough to take care of that for us). The hotel charged twice for the stay, one to us and the other to the third party. If they did not receive confirmation, they should have called the third party to confirm and even if they could not do that, at the very least speak to us in a professional manner and help us try to resolve the issue, that is what customer service is all about! other than that, the rooms were clean, but small and the bathroom was also tiny. The breakfast was fine and the person taking care of the breakfast was pleasant and helpful. We stayed twice because the hotel is close to the ferry terminal.
The hotel did some updates in the 2 years I have been there. It works for me. Comfortable accommodations. Very good free breakfast. Would recommend highly. Friendly front desk
I would say that this hotel is not yet ready to be classified as a Best Western "Plus" We had to buy our own air mattress and we had to move around the furniture in the room to make space for it. There was no bedding or towels for the third person (which I booked for). The bathroom was really really small and we had a big person and a tall person in our room. They found it very difficult to put on clothes or move around in the bathroom without bashing into things. I don't feel that I got what I paid for at all. I am very disappointed that my loyalty to the Best Western brand caused me not to look at other hotels in Yarmouth. But that is my fault. The following night we were rewarded with an amazing Best Western Plus hotel which blew us away. For the same cost.
Check in was quick and efficient with friendly staff. Our room was towards back so there was no road noise. Breakfast was lovely with a nice assortment of breads, cereal and eggs.
